Mundine v Mosley is back on. After the fiasco which saw Shane Mosley leave the country a day before the scheduled October 23 clash, he will now return.
It was well documented the American boxing legend had not received payment and contract agreements were breached, which lead to him flying home, cancelling the bout.
Anthony Mundine, together with his promotional team have put together the money needed to see Shane Mosley return to Australia. The rescheduled bout will take place on November 27.
This has had detrimental effects on another Aussie show scheduled just a fortnight later on December 11.
Garth Wood was getting his chance to shake the boxing world when he took on number 1 ranked middleweight, Martin Murray from the United Kingdom. This fight was for the interim WBA world title.
This event which was set to be broadcast on MainEvent PPV would also see the return of former world title challenger and beloved Australian warrior, Michael Katsidis. Fresh of his KO victory in a Commonwealth title eliminator, undefeated Heaveyweight Lucas Browne was also set to feature.
This event has now been cancelled with the promotor scared Mundine v Mosley, just a fortnight earlier, will effect PPV and ticket sales.
